Twas two weeks before Christmas,
and all through downtown,
a certain Y Runner
Jumped into renown.
At first it was 800's,
Five Teams running three,
With Nicholson leading--
Followed by Victor/Valerie.
Partain, after Nicholson,
Was looking rather swell.
But Brown came on fast,
To at the last ring her bell.
Mike's valiant effort
Launched Bolfing to the blue.
And Heather/Victor/Jason,
Settled for sucky two.
The Main Event was the Broad Jump!
The whole reason we were here--
(or maybe just a distraction...
...until Murphy's beer).
At first was Lord Bolfing,
Who flew grandly through the air,
and tried to tie Lord Voskamp
With a 98 and a hair.
The Leaping Ladies teed it up!
Dr. Lyon was on the prowl.
K Partain leaped her best,
But the good doctor laid it down.
The Leapin' Lords kept at it,
But it was really between the Two.
And after a stupendous,
tiebreaking lunge,
Lord Voskamp won by a shoe!
Tis amazing when you think,
How Lord Voskamp must have felt.
When he leaped into Broadjump history
Just to keep that ridiculous belt!!
